SMART 2021 Goal Week 7&8: Long Time No See!

As it’s hard to believe -to me- that I had other things in my life that I had to take care off for the past while, such as some language exams I was taking and online events I get t to attend.

I think so far I made it very clear that I’m somewhat obsessed with MIT Introduction to Deep Learning course and exciting new, they’re back again! The content is not very much different from the previous one, but I still find different things to learn as I’m going through them.

The previous week was more focused on Phyton. I’m still trying to finish the masterclass I purchased, this week I was trying to learn the objects in Phyton, not really sure how much they make sense for me currently, but I know I will be more used to it in the future. I currently have 75 more videos to go through, I plan to finish it in a month.

I attended two workshops in the NGO that I volunteer in, one was Intro to SQL and the other one was about Data Analysis on Google Spreadsheets. I’ve never worked on SQL before, it was very nice to get started to that. I have to say, it wasn’t very easy to navigate DBeaver -I think it’s mainly because of the internal design- but I will give more chances to learn about it, I think that will be a useful skill to gain.

Reflection on this week

Sometimes it feels like every week is the same as the other one. Taking a break and focusing on different things helps a lot. Well, that’s where the balance comes into the equation, which I’m still figuring out how it works.

Human connection is important even though it’s hard to maintain these days. We have to take advantage of the benefits of technology.

What I’m planning to do next week?

For the Python course, I’m planning to go though at least 20 tutorials this week. Aside from that, I -for this time really- would like to finish some of the unfinished posts I wanted to creat.

Stay safe!
